The Client

Salvage Arc is a small business run by Evan Woodard, “a Baltimore, Maryland-based explorer, photographer, and historian. Follow along as I hunt for lost relics and search for forgotten 18th to 20th-century homesteads, rubbish dumps, and privies.” Woodard unearths and brings lost Baltimore history alive through short form content on Instagram and longer form YouTube videos showcasing interesting artifact finds, local historical figures, and partnerships with Baltimore-based small businesses.

The Objective

To help keep content flowing on a regular schedule, CRD Creative stepped in to edit the “Lost History” series, which focuses on the little known stories behind the history of Baltimore. CRD Creative made sure to follow the same branding and style so all of the videos in the series remained consistent, but added production value through animated map backgrounds, text animation, motion graphics, and transitions for a more professional aesthetic.

The Solution

CRD Creative has delivered two videos of the series so far. One features an educational tour of the Baltimore Streetcar Museum, highlighting historical facts and images of this bygone form of transportation. The other was created in partnership with Charm City Helicopters to show Baltimore from a different vantage point. Come along for the ride and learn about some of the different famous Baltimore landmarks and neighborhoods from above.
