"St. Francis Neighborhood Center has existed since 1963 to raise awareness and bring change to the lives of those we serve in our community of Reservoir Hill in Baltimore City.” St. Francis provides full day summer camps, after-school programs, and community activities to give inner city students a safe place and stabilize families.

The Objective

The staff at St. Francis engaged CRD Creative to produce and edit videos to serve as an overview of the center’s programs, updates to the Center’s expansion project, and impact on the community to better inform grantors, residents, and parents as well as for staff orientation and training.

The Solution

CRD Creative has delivered multiple videos to meet their goals. One general video functions as a “day in the life” for use on the homepage of their website, increasing their online presence and allowing the bright life and personality of the staff and children to shine. Other event-based videos capture the progress of the Center’s expansion to be able to serve more children in the Reservoir Hill neighborhood and beyond. Another video was created for a new hire orientation, geared towards volunteers, to guide them through the policies and provide them with an overview of what to expect to help them feel comfortable and prepared for their role. Interviews with the staff, community leaders, and the children take the viewer through the course of an average day at the center, showing all the daily activities and programs, all tied together with an animated logo wrapper. These professional and evocative videos cut down on the amount of training staff previously had to conduct and have been used to apply for grants and competitions for non-profits.
